Mike' Story

In 2013, Mike became bored with some aspects of preparing patent applications. After writing the claims, there were hours and hours of relatively mindless cutting and pasting. There had to be a better way. So, he started experimenting with complex word macros to automate the more repetitive aspects. It was for this reason that for years, other lawyers referred to Mike's system of patent automation as simply "The Macro."

The patent automation system Mike developed enabled his firm to increase the revenue for a key client from around $3 Million to over $20 Million. The client (a well known wireless communications company) was so impressed because no other competing firm could create such consistently high quality patents in the compressed time frames they required.

Since that first success, Mike has gone on to create patent automation systems for a variety of other firms and clients. Currently, Mike works most closely with the firm F. Chau & Associates to develop systems for better serving some of the worlds most demaning clients in the fields of semiconductors and artificial intelligence. Mike has also received awards for his work applying his methods to serve local pro bono clients who can't afford to patent their inventions.
